American, 1st half-19th century, tin Original fruit and flowers on a dark japanned (black) ground. Dark painted leaves and fruit are present. Strap handle and gooseneck spout. Minor wear and surface scratches. 10 1/4"h. Ex Bill Samaha (Ohio).

There is an old dent in the top of the lid.
