FANCY-DECORATED BOX.
New England, 2nd quarter-19th century, pine. Dovetailed construction, and retains its original red and brown over cream vinegar decoration. Minor imperfections. 7"h. 17 3/4"w. 8 3/4"d. Ex Dorothy Oakley Marshall, sold at Garth's, September 4-5, 1987, lot 340.

Condition: Darkened/yellowed varnish, lacking the hasp from the lock (lock is original, as are the hinges). Scattered minor flakes.
