TWO PEWTER MEASURES.
English. Similar covered half-pint and gill measures with curved thumbpieces. The half-pint, 1725-1775, is stamped "CM" and "CO" for Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Ex Blaney Collection and pictured in the book Pewter in American Life by Pewter Collectors of America. 5 1/4"h. The gill, 1700-1775, is stamped "A" for Amsterdam or New Amsterdam. 4"h. Both are ex Melvyn and Bette Wolf (Michigan).

Good condition on both other than a few minor chips along top rimming and very little wearing and surface scratching. br>
