DECORATED DOME-TOP BOX.
New England, 2nd quarter-19th century, probably basswood. Dovetailed construction retaining its original black over red paint decoration. Minor imperfections. 10"h. 24"w. 12"d.

Condition: Age crack to the toop, missing leather handles, original hardware, however most of the screws/nails holding the lockplate on are missing.
