Oil on canvas, unsigned. Half-length, seated portrait of a stern gentleman holding a book and a scroll, and with a column and red drape in the background. Imperfections. 34"h. 27"w., in a period, gilt frame, 42"h. 34"w. Sold at Pook and Pook (Pennsylvania), January 2006.

Condition: Relined (trimmed to the edges of the image), scattered inpainting.
