SAMPLER.
Mary Ann Pepper, probably American, 1838, silk on linen. Mary Ann included her age, 11 years, as well as flower baskets, potted flower, dogs and fleur-de-lys. Minor color loss. In older frame. 14 3/4"h. 12 3/4"w.

Condition: Warm hues such as pinks, reds and golds have faded to tans, as is common with pieces exposed to sun.
