American, 19th century, silk on paper. Whimsical depiction of a parrot perched atop a basket. Imperfections. 9"h. 6 3/4"w., in a period frame, 10 3/4"h. 8 1/4"w. Ex Clark Garrett (Ohio), purchased at auction September 3, 1989.

Condition: Paper toned, with some staining, wrinkling, and minor losses. Frame with minor wear, but a good old/original finish.
