ENGLISH SAMPLER.
Betsey Ann Burnet, 1827, silk on wool. Mirrored pairs of trees, potted flowers, baskets, birds and curly tailed dogs surround a castle. She signed it with her name and "Her sampler Finished May The 4 1827 Aged 11 Years" ending with a verse. Bright colors in greens, golds and ivory with blue lettering. Small areas of loss. Framed. 16 1/2"h. 17"w.

Condition: A narrow line of loss at top under border and a few scattered small hoes on the edges.
