APPLIQUED AND PIECED QUILT.
Probably midwest, 1840-1860, cotton. Handquilted and appliqued in tiny stitches. The quilting pattern echoes the floral design in the center and tight rows are quilted in the four borders which are finished with narrow cording. The rosebuds are stuffed. Minor imperfections. 84" x 101".

Condition: Light overall soiling, a few small spots, minor loss and thinning on some of the red.
