Probably American, 1830-1850, wool on cotton. Ornate sets of alphabets over floral designs including wreaths, vines and lyres as well as two realistically worked butterflies. Good strong colors. Minor imperfections. In a frame, 39 3/4"h. 10 3/4"w.

Condition: Slight thread loss. Overall surface soiling. 1" loss to one lower corner.
