ENGLISH SAMPLER.
Elizabeth Barton, 1823, silk on wool. Seven-year-old Elizabeth worked this sampler using remarkably tiny stitches. Her design includes baskets of fruits, potted flowers, stags and moral verse. Good colors. Minor imperfections. Conservation mounted. Framed 14"h. 15"w. Ex M. Finkel and Daughter (Pennsylvania).

Condition: A few tiny holes on two edges and minor light discoloration.
