Sarah Firth, probably English, 1838, wool on linen. Large needlepoint red rose surrounded by birds perching in trees bordered by flowering vines. Some imperfections. In old frame. 15"h. 15 1/2"w. And needlepoint basket of flowers signed "Caroline Ebolt 13 Aug 26 1839". Minor loss. Framed 11"h. 11 1/4"w.

Condition: Some loss to wool stitches. Center is slightly toned.
