BANNISTER-BACK SIDE CHAIR.
New England, mid 18th century, mixed woods including maple and ash. Well shaped crest rail with enlongated reel and ball finials. The four bannisters repeat the stile turnings. Old splint seat, turned feet and stretchers. Old, if not original, red surface. Great wear. 18"h. seat, 43"h. overall. Ex Colette Donovan, (Massachusetts).
