Engraved map (245 x 370 mm). 23 numbered references along the right side. Condition: tissue-backed, repaired tear extending from the left margin and just entering the image. Provenance: Martin P. Snyder. "The interest in accurate information about Philadelphia was seemingly as great with the French as with the English. George Louis le Rouge, the royal geographer, published a small adaptation of the Clarkson-Biddle map in Paris, omitting all frills. Apparently he followed Dury's reissue rather than the American original" (Snyder). Snyder, COI 46 (this copy illustrated as Fig. 44).
