Philadelphia: Kimber & Conrad, 1811. Map engraved by J. Vallance, hand-colored in outline (540 x 855 mm). Inset view of the Schuylkill Permanent Bridge. Framed. Condition: restoration in the upper margin just touching the neat line, vertical creases. Provenance: Martin P. Snyder. A lovely reissue based on Howell's large map of Pennsylvania of 1792 -- the first official map of the state and the most accurate of its time. Phillips, p. 680; Ristow, pp. 108-110.
