Philadelphia: Friend & Aub, 1854. Lithographed map, dissected into 36 sections and linen-backed, hand-colored (625 x 905 mm). Folds into publisher's blindstamped morocco covers. Condition: separations at folds, some dampstaining; covers worn, spine perished. Unusual and rare map, issued as part of the sale of plots in the Jenkintown area by the Chelten Hills Association. Among the buyers of these suburban "country seats" were the wealthy elite of Philadelphia, including John Wanamaker, Jay Cooke and others. Not listed in Phillips.
