HEISS, G. G. H. S. Tarr's Marble Yard No. 274 Green St. Above Seventh Philadelphia Pa. Philadelphia: Wagner & McGuigan, c. 1855. Lithograph (545 x 700). Condition: tissue-backed, tears to extremities with losses to corner and some margins into border of image. Second state issued almost immediately after the W. H. Rease original. This state includes extra details such as one boy carrying another piggyback on the sidewalk. "Through a series of three large arches, surmounted by an eagle and bearing at their top the lettering 'Henry S. Tarr's Manufactory,' a yard full of tall monuments is seen. Adjoining to the right is Tarr's three-story office building, and in the background is the factory with its belfry. The sidewalk is composed of black and white marble squares.
