Philadelphia: F. Kuhls (printer), c. 1855. Lithograph (490 x 590 mm). Framed. Provenance: Martin P. Snyder. This lithograph depicts the several buildings that made up William Hughes large "Hay Establishment" at the fork of 2nd Street. Three carts are piled high with fresh hay while a Navy Yard coach rushes into the scene from the left. The lithographed border gives the appearance of a wood frame to this fine advertising print. Not in Wainwright.
