Philadelphia: Schnabel, Finkeldey & Demme, 1856. Lithograph, hand-colored (225 x 290 mm). Framed. Condition: some creases and repaired short tears. Provenance: Martin P. Snyder. This print, derived from the 1832 view of the Merchants Exchange drawn by J. C. Wild, depicts the elegant classical facade of the William Strickland designed Merchants Exchange from the across the City Railroad tracks, with labeled horse drawn omnibuses in sight. Not in Wainright.
