New York: Currier & Ives, c. 1860. Lithograph, hand-colored (245 x 325 mm). Framed. Condition: very slight repair to lower margin. Provenance: Martin P. Snyder. The Wissahickon Valley "was noted for its rustic beauty and was a favorite spot for excursions and picnics. This delightful lithograph by Currier & Ives illustrates the pleasant image that the Wissahickon evoked then and still evokes today" (Wohl Collection). Wohl Collection 205; not in Wainright.
