Philadelphia: G. M. Hopkins & Co., 1871. Folio (390 x 345 mm). 36 engraved mapsheets, hand-colored (includes single-page, double-page and multi-sheet folding maps; many mapsheets with multiple maps). Publisher's half morocco over pebbled cloth, title stamped in gilt on the upper cover. Condition: a few tears to the folding maps, minor spotting and staining; rubbed at extremities. the most detailed early atlas of the main line. Besides showing the various district divisions in each township, each map identifies most of the property owners, as well as businesses and landmarks. The atlas includes large folding, detailed maps of Norristown, Pottstown and Conshohocken and the terminal 10 mapsheets comprise an enormous map of the entire state. Phillips 2487.
