Tinted lithographed title and tinted lithographed illustrations by Heppenheimer & Maurer, numerous lithographed and engraved advertisments. Modern green morocco binding preserving central portions of original covers, elaborate gilt title featuring a bust of George Washington, raised panels and cornerpieces with brass onlays. Condition: repair to corner of title, light thumbsoiling; rubbing to older portion of binding. This album contains views depicting notable revolutionary events, as well as locations in Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, plus the buildings of the 1876 Centennial Celebration. Each view is surrounded by advertisments, many of which are for piano and instrument makers, cabinetmakers, etc. An interesting illustrated Centennial business directory.
