Philadephia: Times Printing House, c. 1890. Chromolithograph (520 x 705 mm). Condition: paper backed, expertly restored. This bright chromolithograph shows the waterfront docks and the Chestnut street office of the Tygert-Allen Fertilizer Company. Multiple railroads are depicted and a Pennsylvania Railroad Ferry depot adjacent to the Tygert-Allen grounds. Three boats approach from the river billowing smoke. Printed in a vibrant red, this print is a wonderful example of late 19th century advertising lithography.
