30" Black folk art doll. One-of-a-kind black folk art doll. Head appears to be made from leather and heavily over painted. Very ethnic features. Pieces of black fur have been glued to back of head to form hair. Cotton batting stuffed white cotton body with black knit socks forming legs. Painted fabric arms, hands with individual fingers with a brass band on left ring finger. Doll is dressed in antique clothing. Red cotton calico dress, black/white check pinafore, flannel peticoat and pantaloons, black socks, brown leather shoes. Condition: upper arms appear to have been repaired/replaced.
