Acrylic on canvas mounted glazed and framed , This is the last of the Rat Pack trio of paintings by James Wilkinson, the previous two of Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jnr having been sold previously at auctions in Las Vegas and London. James Wilkinson (1965- ) Primarily a portrait artist, James' work has become highly collectable amongst the glitterati in recent years and is owned by such musical icons as the Stones, Oasis and the Prodigy. Popular with not only his subjects but a growing fan base of young art collectors Wilkinson's work becomes a collaboration between himself and the subject as he allows the subject to contribute to the canvas with drawings, signatures and messages. In the case of many music artist portraits, the subjects have chosen to include lyrics from their songs.
