Elkington Silver on Copper Artist Plaque,
after a design by Léonard Morel-Ladeuil (signed "Morel-Ladeuil" in plaque), depicting a scene from Shakespeare's " A Midsummer Night's Dream," signed in the plaque, verso bears applied "Elkington" tag. Léonard Morel-Ladeuil worked for Elkington & Co. from 1859 after serving his apprenticeship in France with Antoine Vechte (1800-1868). 11.5" dia.
