ca.1870, stencil gilt decoration surrounding a polychrome scene of children playing, titled "HAPP AS A KING", fitted interior, the knobs carved to resemble flowers. The brass lock is stamped VR with a crown and has its original key. Raised on applied triangular feet. 4.5" x 8" x 5.75" Estimate: $300 - 500 Condition reportOverall loss to gilt decoration, chips to feet, partial loss to right rear foot.
