Victorian Venetian Painting & Collage on Glass,
oval form glass panel uniquely decorated with a view of Venice, before which a traditional boat laden with figures passes, possibly depicting the Feast of Sensa. The artist both painted the scene in oils and then used stamps to collage the boat and figures. The double borders are also made from cut and applied stamps. Housed in the likely original ebonized & molded wood frame. A very unique tourist souvenir! DOA 22.5" x 25.5"

Estimate: $200 - 400

Several small paint flakes and a few minor areas of loss to the collage elements - overall they do not detract from this wonderful picture.
