Three African Articles,
the first a smaller version of a rhythm tapper probably from the Senufo people, consisting of Janus form heads with elongated faces, topped by arch forms, and large cone shape breasts extending into an abstracted tubular formed body terminating in a rounded base. The entire form is covered with texturized geometric sheet metal, the arch has cowry shells on short beaded strings around the outside, (15.5" x 4.5" x 4"). The second article is an Asante Akua'ba fertility doll with blue beaded necklace and serpentine form framing around face, detailed with facial features, breasts and a herniated bellybutton, (16.25" x 5.5" x 2.5"). The third article is an elongated tapper with worshipper figure finial, figure with stylized hair and large circular abstracted eyes, with hands in prayer-like or contemplative position, (19.75" x 2.5" 1.75").
