this beautiful example of the expert artistry of the Bamana people is ornately decorated with hammered geometric sheet metal and cloth across the face, spiraled fluted antlers with two hammered sheet metal bands, animal hair atop the antler's, with beaded cowry shell earrings; neck, ears, face and mane all covered in decorative carving. 40" x 12" x 3" Estimate: $400 - 600 Condition reportSurface grime, areas of minor loss, chipping to ear tips, expected patination and rust to metal.
