Confederate NC Gold Mine Stock Certificate,
partially printed document, one page, 6.25" x 8.5", Swift Island Gold Mining Company, Swift Island, Montgomery County, North Carolina, January 18, 1863, made out for 500 shares to Bowlin Connor of Dalton, Georgia, signed by company President S. H. Christian and Treasurer Benjamin Hamilton. A verso endorsement reads, "Georgia, Whitfield County > For value received I hereby transfer this within certificate to John Lord (?) of said county. Dec. 3rd 1863. Test. James E Cox C.S. C. Rowlin County." Very rare. Included with the above is a stock certificate for 100 shares in the Sandy River Petroleum Prize Company, New York, February 27, 1868. 8" x 11.5". Good condition.

Smoothed folds, uneven edges, some marginal loss with small splits, overall toning punctuated by spotting. Good condition.
