Two Pictorial Needlework Samplers with Cats,
both 19th c., the first depicting a playful cat with a ball on a cushion, multicolored wool yarn on a green field, housed in a tiger maple frame with gilt surround, (SS 8.5" x 12"; DOA: 12.5" x 16"). The second depicting a cat sitting on a red pillow with trees in the background, face nicely worked in petit point, housed in a frame with beaded edge, (SS 7.5" x 9.5"; DOA 13.5" x 15.5").
