Rare NC Paint Decorated Rowan Co. Blanket Chest,
ca. 1800, Yadkin River area, six board poplar case having dove-tailed construction and all-over old red painted surface, swag and tassels (11) in black and white over central quatrefoil flanked by six pointed stars and star & dot pinwheels, interior with yellow pine till, lid with applied stepped molding, dovetailed front bracket feet with spurs, applied cove molded base. 24" x 50" x 20.5"

Estimate: $15000 - 25000

Appropriate replaced fish tail hinges, minor chipping to front feet, small wood loss to back left foot, replaced lock.
