Two NC Arm Chairs, early 19th c.,
the first (Alamance Co.) with old surface and three shaped ladder back slats, nicely ring turned post, figured maple arms, later splint slat, old break and repair to top slat, joint looseness overall (37.5" x 20" x 16"); and the second with mixed hardwood with double ball finial post and original splint seat, old loss to top slat and overall joint looseness (39" x 19" x 15").
