English Nathaniel Mills Sterling Silver Card Case,
with Birmingham 1848-1849 hallmark and Mills sponsor's mark, rectangular form with scrolled edge, the surface engraved with diagonal bands of alternating decorative patterns centered with an intricately engraved scene of the city of London, complete with St. Paul's Cathedral and ships on the Thames, the reverse with shield inscribed "Mrs. Black / 17 June 1850." 2.2 total troy ozs. 3 7/8" x 2.75"
