Asprey of London Sterling & Enamel Vanity Set,
a complete nine piece lady's vanity set in original fitted leather case, each piece with finely cut crystal and guilloche enameling in a soft rose pink, the set includes: a cylindrical dresser jar with fitted top (7"), a circular dresser jar with screw-on top (3.25"), an oval dresser jar with fitted top (4"), two scent bottles - one with screw-on top and the other with a fitted top with the remains of the original cork stopper - (both 3.5"), a nail file, a hand mirror, and two brushes with original bristles. This set bears Birmingham hallmarks and the date letter for 1926. All pieces also bear Asprey & Co. retailer's marks, the London equivalent of New York's Tiffany & Co. It is quite rare to find such a complete and finely worked set - especially in such good condition and with its original travel case. From the estate of noted poet Charles E.
