Robert Fletcher (Chester) Long Case Clock,
Georgian, ca. late 18th - early 19th c., brass works, case of oak with mahogany veneers, hood with broken arch pediment, painted metal face having Roman numerals and second dial, is beautifully decorated with flowers and bird surmount, the shaped waist door is flanked by fluted quarter columns, the case raised on later short bracket feet. The works are screwed onto an iron mount stamped "Wilson", with pendulum and weights. 84" Collection of an eastern NC Gentleman. Estimate: $1500 - 2500 Condition reportPaint touchups to face including several numerals. Some veneer cracks and chips. Later eagle finial.
