Carolyn Morris Bach Necklace, Earrings, and Belt,
original necklace custom-made for the consignor is artist signed and inscribed, "Carolyn Morris Bach/ for Bette 1984" and "Fine Silver", this piece was commissioned and custom made for the consignor, the piece includes many different media including fine silver, sterling ivory, copper, and jade beads. The central pendant includes a pouch motif with an ivory leopard suspended from the bottom (one of the leopard's back legs is broken). Other notable pieces include two mask like charms, which are identified as inspired by Eskimo art on the original receipt. One pair of earrings artist signed and inscribed "18K", dangle style post earrings with half pearls at the post and one small pearl suspended from bottom of earring, with outlined shield motif copper section. One belt consisting of marbled gray silk fabric with (14) fine silver medallions, each medallion is artist signed, one is dated 1984. Necklace: 168g.; Earrings: 16g.; Belt: 105g. total. This is an early piece from the national celebrated artist, Carolyn Morris Bach. Her earthly iconography is powerfully invoked with the bold lines and primal motifs of the hand crafted beads.
