Large Collection of Vintage Baseball Photographs,
ca. 1880 - 1960, approximately 75 diverse images, mostly of amateurs with highlights as follows: early 1/6 plate tintype of player having large Old English "B" emblazoned on shirt; 1890s group of children with baseball equipment; cabinet card, ca. 1890, of Richmond, Virginia team; albumen, ca. 1880, of catcher with face mask (and no glove!); albumen group photo, ca. 1890s, showing female player with friends; albumen, ca. 1900, of African-American boys' team; nine racy 1950s nudes cavorting with baseballs; eight small images from 1930 Boston Braves photo album; six glass negatives, ca. 1890 - 1910, of team portraits; numerous snapshots, including some of a 1940s game in the Pacific played by American servicemen; several large mounted albumen prints of teams, ca. 1900 - 1920; several smaller images showing teams from first half of 20th century. Most of the images are unidentified, however they provide visual feast taking baseball step-by-step from its primitive inception to its present form.

Estimate: $600 - 900

Items vary in condition, from being pristine to having minor flaws. Overall very good quality.
