IMPORTANT ART NOUVEAU DIAMOND BUTTERFLY PENDANT Platinum-topped gold, ca. 1890. Graceful curves define the form. A principal OEC diamond, approx. 1.5 cts., represents the body. Three pairs of diamonds, 1.6 cts. TW, accent the wings, an OEC diamond, 1.0 cts. represents the moon, suspends a diamond, .20 ct. Worn on 17" Belle Epoque pt. and diamond chain. Approx. 6 cts. TW throughout. 15.1 gs. GW, 1 1/4" x 1 1/2". Can be worn as a brooch. (Note: By decent through a family, owners of a Patterson, New Jersey silk company.)
