Condition/Details: Bound in leather with , this antique volume is a scarce early Swedish Bible. A printed annotation at the margin of the last page of the initial foreword reads as follows:"Thetta ar egenteliga forstaende om then forsta edition Anno 1541. Och sa widt om thenna hare andra edition; at are aro eck/ock (?) samma Text / Forsprack/Gloser oc Concordia tier behalne." The work is illustrated with many bright in-text engravings. The remarkably well-preserved volume shows light external age/wear. The book lacks one of the original leather straps; the second is partially preserved. and is solidly bound with age-toned pages that show some archival restoration work.1. There is tearing and loss of text to isolated pages in the First Book of Moses (particularly chapters 25 - 29). The book measures approximately 8.25" x 9.5" and contains 649 pages.
