Title: The American Eclectic Practice of Medicine as Applied to the Diseases of Domestic Animals

Titus Publisher: Baker & Godwin Printing Year: 1861 Condition/Details: Bound in blindstamped brown cloth with gilt embossing to spine, this antique volume is a scarce "treatise on bleeding, blistering, mecurializing and the pernicious effects of minerals on the animal fibers with a list of poisons and their antidotes, together with a historical sketch of the horse". The work is illustrated with a number of plates of horses. The volume shows external age/wear, with cloth peeling from spine and boards detached from hinges. Text block is intact with age-toned pages whose first and last pages show staining to extremities. Small newspaper clippings have been pasted to endpapers.
