Condition/Details: Bound in blue cloth with bright gilt lettering and pictorial decoration depicting observatory on front cover, this antique volume is a very scarce history dedicated to the aforementioned astronomical institution, founded in 1675 for the purpose of assisting navigation. The work is illustrated with many photographs and in-text drawings. The volume shows very light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean, bright pages. The book measures approximately 6" x 8" and contains 320 pages. Shipping cost (within the U.S.) for this lot will be: $4.50
