Description:

Fantastically bold in coloration, the rich reds, blues, and greens dominate the entire plain of this surrealist composition. Geometric in form with a slightly whimsical and playful quality that only Miró is able to instill in his works, Dans le grenier à sel is a masterpiece. Subtle splatters of grey with expressive strokes of line illuminate the work from within, with various glimpses of face and characters that are hidden throughout the work. This large-scale print awards the viewer a complete sensory experience, allowing us to delve in to the world of Joan Miró's creative, subconscious imagination.

Created in 1975, this work is hand signed by Joan Miró (1893 - 1983) in pencil in the lower right and annotated HC in pencil in the lower left (aside from the roman numeral edition of 13) . Published by Maeght, Paris and printed by Morsang, Paris on Arches paper.
