Bronze plaque "Variant" signed Archipenko 1920

Signed lower right. Attributed Alexander Archipenko. This came from an upstate NY collector. Thank you for your interest. This is consigned from a private party who claimed to have taken it to Sotheby's, the head of the Russian department estimated it at $70,000-$90,000, (paperwork available). The consignor bought it from his client in lieu of construction work done for him. Before sale time the plaque was shown to Archipenko's wife for authenticity confirmation & she did not agree with the head of the department. Sotheby's removed it from their sale. We have no documentation. Based on the info that we have been given, there is difference of opinion. Based on the estimate & the conservative reserve put on it please use your own discretion.
