Pair of carved squirrels with painted eyes. Wood appears to be walnut. Signed on side "J.A.M." (J.A. Morris), John C. Campbell Folk School, Brasstown, North Carolina. Morris studied under Murray Martin, one of the Folk School's first carving instructors. Overall excellent condition. 7 1/2" height. Provenance: Roane Co., Tennessee estate.
