Federal giltwood convex mirror with spread winged eagle above a circular convex glass and acanthus carved leaves on each side. Appears to retain the original gilding and mirrored glass. Condition - a few missing circular drops, eagle wings broken and glued, losses to gilding. Provenance - Edwin J. Perkins, Oak Forest, Farmington, Charlottesville, VA and Page Rudd, Perkins, Brides Hills, For Union, VA. 37 1/2" height x 33" width. American, early 19th century.
