Oil on canvas painting of woman playing cards, dated 1897 and signed "N. CDA". A provocative Victorian depiction of a woman with Gibson Girl hairstyle, in low-backed dress, apparently gambling, with her back to the artist. In period gilded composition frame with shell/scroll molding. Dimensions: 24 1/4" x 17 1/2", framed; 17 1/2" x 11 1/4", sight. Some small losses and shrinkage cracks to frame. Circa 1897.
