71. Collection of vintage signed photographs inscribed to silent film star Mabel Normand from her personal scrapbook. Mabel Normand, known as "the female Chaplin", was the undisputed queen of comedy of the era. These photographs were all inscribed and presented to Normand. Present in the collection are Samuel Goldwyn (7 ¾ in. x 9 ¾ in.) inscribed, "To Mabel Normand whom I love and adore"); Anna May Wong (9 1/8 in. x 12 in.) inscribed, "To Mabel Normand One who has given so much happiness to all. Orientally yours, Anna May Wong"; Norma Talmadge (9 ¼ in. x 11 ¾ in.) inscribed, "To Mabel dear My love & yours always Norma"; Rudolph Valentino (10 ¼ in. x 13 in.) inscribed, "To my dear Mabel Happiness and Success Rudy."; Blanche Sweet (9 ¾ in. x 12 ½ in.) inscribed, "Mabel, I sincerely wish you all good. Sweet"; and Olive Thomas (8 ½ in. x 10 ½ in.) inscribed, "To Mabel, Just lots of love from the bottom of my heart 'Ollie'". Collection also includes a beautiful 8 in. x 12 in. (image size 6 ¾ in. x 9 in.) portrait of Mabel Normand seated on a settee. $4,000 - $6,000
