Frank Baum Oz books in original cloth: The Road to Oz, The Emerald City of Oz, The Patchwork Girl of Oz, The Scarecrow of Oz, The Lost Princess of Oz and The Tin Woodman of Oz. An incredible collection of First Editions of L. Frank Baum's beloved fantasy novels of the fictitious Land of Oz. Present in the collection are the following books: - The Road to Oz, Chicago, Reilly & Britton (1909), First edition, First state, original green pictorial cloth covers exhibit slight soil and rubbing; otherwise a clean and Very Good+ copy.
- The Emerald City of Oz, Chicago, Reilly & Britton (1910), First edition, First state, original blue cloth with pictorial paste-on plate in front. Exhibits some mild rubbing of cloth. Near Fine.
- The Patchwork Girl of Oz, Chicago, Reilly & Britton (1913), First edition, original green pictorial cloth, with fabulous color pictorial endpapers plus a profusion of color and black & white illustrations throughout the text. Very fine.
- The Scarecrow of Oz, Chicago, Reilly & Britton (1915), First edition, First state, original green cloth with pictorial paste-on plate in front. With 12 color plates and pictorial endpapers and black & white illustrations throughout the text. Cover plate immaculate. Fine.
- The Lost Princess of Oz, Chicago, Reilly & Britton (1917), First edition, original blue cloth with pictorial paste-on plate in front. With 12 color plates and pictorial endpapers. Fine.
- The Tin Woodman of Oz, Chicago, Reilly & Britton (1918), First edition, original red cloth with pictorial paste-on plate in front. With 12 color plates plus many black & white illustrations throughout the text. Fine and bright with no wear to cover plate; a beautiful copy that appears to be unread.
An incredible collection, exceedingly difficult to assemble in this condition. All in fine condition. $10,000 - $12,000
